I saw the last few minutes of Gunsmoke today, which had Goober AND Briscoe on it! Briscoe was a preacher or a doctor(?) trying to save Festus from Goober (who wasn't a nice boy on this episode like he was on TAGS, and he weren't a bit smart, even with a beard). He convinced Goober and his buddies that Festus had been bitten by a rabid dog and that he could have caught it from him because they had a fight. Goober R-U-N-N-O-F-T to get treatment for his possible rabies. The town gave Festus $300 for getting rid of Goober and his buddies. Festus said that $300 was more than he'd ever had "in all my born put together". He even bought a round of drinks for the boys at the bar. Well, I don't know exactly the whole story of that episode since I just saw the last few minutes, but thought I'd share it anyway... Lisa
