Was on my way to a family reunion last weekend in South Carolina and stopped in once again for a visit at Mt. Airy. I brought a friend who also enjoyed the visit. We were able to take a squad car tour of the town which I have not done before and worth it to see some things I had not before. Fun ride too. Saw the Emmett fix it shop and jail they made beside Wallys that was not there 2 years ago. Looks just like the shows. Even had an Otis walking around and you can take your photo with him in jail. Don't worry if you get locked in the key is where it always is. That day there was a cruise in going from Florida to New Jersey or New York with 2000 classic cars and they made Mt. Airy a stop. So extra visitors to town that day. Got to meet Andy's best friend Emmett who was very nice. He has a new museum in the back a store with lots of stuff. Ended the stop with a visit to the barber shop and a Snappy Lunch pork chop sandwich as always was so good and worth the stop. My friend said it was like nothing he had ever ate and he is so right. Well just wanted to share with you all the info and if you have not been there in awhile or at all better get a move on down there.
