I am wondering if anyone has ever seen a TV antenna on any of the houses in Mayberry. Orville Monroe did sell them in his TV shop but I don't ever recall seeing one. Howard used rabbit ears on his set in the episode where his mother told him they were getting married. Warren used rabbit ears on his little set in the back room of the courthouse. The reason I bring this up is that when I was a kid we could only get two stations. One town to the west of us about 65 miles and the other town to the east of us was about 40 miles. If we wanted to change channels my father would go on the roof and turn the antenna by hand and we would be hanging out the window yelling to him when it came in clear. The two cities that had stations on TAGS was Mt. Pilot which was about 12 miles away (depending on which episode it was mentioned ) and Raleigh which was considerably farther. Just thought it was interesting on how they would receive these signals.
