In answer to Amy's inquiry, if memory serves me correctly, Barney's Song was
on the epilogue of the episode about the magazine article "Sheriff without a
gun". The three people who came into town had talked about doing a TV show
based on the article. They ended up just wanting to rob the bank. At the end
of the episode Barney is writing this song and Andy sneaks in and sings the
last verse he makes up. Hope this helps!
