Speaking of Andy Taylor marrying couples during the night, Andy Griffith could have stepped into his role as 'Justice Of The Peace' and held mock wedding ceremonies in Vegas. He performed there in the summer of 1968 at Harrah's with Don Knotts and Jerry Van Dyke. His character was on the verge of getting married himself on the upcoming first episode of 'Mayberry R.F.D.' in September. Newton Monroe was there slicing and dicing in Vegas that same summer. He would have made a good wedding witness.
