For Mayberry Idol, how can we forget Barney's song "Oh my Barney", i believe it was thelma lou, on the phone. i don't remember all the lyrics but it went something like..... "In a jailhouse, down in dixie, fighting crime"........and at the end andy, sneaking into the courthouse sings......"oh my barney, oh my barney, had a jail and couldn't lock it, had one bullet for his pistol, had to keep it in his pocket"....All of this was sung to the huckleberry hound tune "Oh my Darling, oh my darling, oh my darling clemintine" i think we should have a vote for originality!!!!!
