The late Paul Hartman was a late-comer to Mayberry, but his character Emmett
had some great moments. I saw one of his best recently during "Suppose Andy
Gets Sick." Emmett's fretting and concern over buying the right-length
shoelaces was hilarious, with perfect comic timing from Hartman. It is just
another example of the wonderful gentle humor from the writing and acting of
TAGS.
