Had a couple interesting experiences with the phrase "Nipping it in the bud" this past week.
First, I'm taking a life guard class at the local YMCA. One of the instructors said something several times over different classes about "nipping it in the bud" so I asked him if he was a TAGS fan and he said yes. Then last night, my daughter turned on a movie on the Disney Channel that featured Kirstie Allie as the Tooth Fairy. I don't recall the name of the movie, but at about 1 hour and 15 or 20 minutes into it, the school principle made the comment about "I'm just going to go nip it in the bud."
