*** Also,if I remember correctly,the old Lassie show had an operator named Jenny. It seems to me that an operator SHOULD be named either Sarah or Jenny!*** Don't forget, if I haven't mentioned her already, Marge, the office receptionist/switchboard operator constantly popping up on the phone or intercom on "The Dick Van Dyke Show." I don't know if they ever showed her (I am working my way through all the episodes on DVD and her voice wasn't heard until 1964) but she was a very obvious presence.
