The only ones I can remember are:
Otis's birthday when the inspector came
Aunt Bee's birthday with the fiasco with the canning jars and lovely bed jacket
Barney going overboard on Thelma Lou's birthday by taking her to Morelli's for
dinner ( you know, they usually go dutch )
Then again Barney buying Thelma Lou the pineapple skinner - but I'm not sure
that was a birthday

it from us! "

Re: I would like to hear from people all over the states not just
southern states that belive their states or towns are safe from all
this junk happpening now adays. Someone please assure me that the
world isn't so bad.
The SoCal town of Thousand Oaks may be a little bigger than Mayberry,
but this beautiful and charming town with its shady, tree-lined
boulevards consistantly makes the number one spot in those yearly
"best-of lists" as the safest city in American.
Why, even little Ronnie Howard lives just a few miles to the east of there.

Hey group,
Just got the e-mail and had to share.
It was like a sign from The Count. A bell (actually the "New E-mail" sound)
went off while I was watching the first disc of TAGS Season 6 and I read these
happy words:
"Next-To-Last Season Arrives This August (In Full Color!) - 8:16 PM 5/13/2006
We've got the info and artwork for "The Andy Griffith Show - The Complete 7th
Season". Whistle on over to the TVShowsOnDVD News and read our story!
URL: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=5648 "
Check out the link and the artwork.
Peace,
Phil B.

Baron,
Yes, that is a different Floyd in "The Case of the Punch in the Nose". I think
that's been brought up before.
As for your trivia, Rance, Ron and Clint Howard all appeared in "A Black Day
for
Mayberry", the gold truck episode. In fact, that is one of the few scenes that
Opie is shown with his real and TV Dad at the same time.
By the way, the 4th vehicle with a DC-269 license plate is on a truck.

I drove by a roadside stand near my home today which was advertising "50
Ribeyes
for 50 Dollars." Couldn't help but think of Aunt Bee and her freezer. Sometime
tells me there are going to be some folks around here who are going to need to
"call the man!"

Hello everyone! I enjoy your comments on our favorite show!
As far as small towns still existing (ala Mayberry), there are still plenty of
those Mayberry types here in Montana! Choteau, Augusta, Fairfield, and the
list
goes on. Everyone knows everybody and nobody locks their doors. Neighbors
helping neighbors; high schools sports still cause the whole town (just about)
to stand and cheer!; and the sheriff and his deputy(ies) are related to just
about everyone around.
I know Montana's not a southern state, but there are still many towns here that
have our favorite show's appeal!
Happy Mother's Day to you all, and Aunt Bee, too!

Todd, The episode "The Gold Truck" contains all 3 Howards and a glitch with
the"G-Men" switching out....I love that episode!
Also....Odd Facts Known By Few.....Mr. Schwamp was an innovative spy for the
government in Mayberry (probably looking for the location of Otis' "source")
He had a "Bug in his Rug" and was working on prototypes for spy
communication devices (like the Phone in a Shoe for Maxwell Smart). I think
he knew all along that Ernest T. Bass was NOT from Back Bay Boston! Just
watch him closely....you'll see what I mean; he even is in Church on Sundays
watching to see if Ben Weaver is REALLY singing "Leaning on the Everlasting
Arms" OR just mouthing the words!!
A Northern Person In The Flesh,
Mari Ellen

Hey Wade, where I live still feels like our beloved Mayberry. We don't
lock our doors and we feel completely safe when we walk down our little
street. This is Henagar,Alabama,Allan's home town.We even had a Barney of
sorts for a very long time. He's gone now just like our real Barney but
certianly not forgotten. His name was John Henry and what a charactor!!
He was known for his traffic directing, talk about a mess,he could tangle
up three cars into a huge mess!!WE all loved and respected his effort
even if it was side spliting.I get a real kick out of reading the
digest,ya'll keep up the good work{I mean fun}you have here.

To get a good look at how someone, who was perhaps much like Sarah, handled
subject job, see the film "Raggedy Man," a quiet production starring Cissy
Spacek. This is not one for the children due to the attempted rape but is
fairly decent in its presentation and is a meaningful story. It also features
Andy's good friend who portrayed Mr. Flint, Frankie's, umm Francis' father that
time.
