What a laugh I had when watching the Wednesday night TAGS and have the population of Mayberry revealed as 1,800! I had just posed the question yesterday (Wednesday morning) out of the blue! I happened to turn on the show on TVLand and there they were discussing the history of the town, railroads and all that! Gosh Pa, I love that show!
