My perspective on TV watching decades ago is that since there were only 3
channels in most areas, its popularity was not like it is today. And more
parents back then were into child disciplinary attitudes that did not feel a
child had to be entertained every waking moment. Now that my beloved is in
Heaven and I am alone, except for my doggy Thelma Lou, I have one of my TVs on
all the time to keep me company. I sleep all night with a Mayberry video
playing so if I awaken, it's to a comforting visit with friends.

P.S. Thanks to Lydia for that wonderful definition of love!
