Todays episode reminds me. In the early colour episodes Howard's mother was very protective and thanks to Andy & Goober she gradually let him go.
However my question is this: Why did she virtually disappear? Howard went off to the Caribbean w/nary a mention of Mrs. Sprague. Surely, she would have been there to see him off. Did Mabel Anderson get another job? This surely was before her turn as Samantha's mother in law on /Bewitched/. I see where she's died of Alzheimer's.
