How about when Mr. Tucker was in Town? He probably would have needed to get on the internet to check his stock prices and his email. However, he couldn't because the Mendelbright sisters had it tied up all afternoon with IM's to each other... Although there was only the one phone line, Sarah, the webmaster, let them use their computer with dial up connection a good two or three hours because they lived so far apart etc...Had they gone to a high speed connection or LAN, they wouldn't have had this problem....Seems Cora could have located a LAN in Mt. Pilot.... Also, on "Opening Day" Henry Bennett would be considered a "jinx" because Andy and Barney tried to play the Bassmasters computer game with Henry and the network kept going down.... "Henry Bennett? You actually invited Henry Bennett to play on our computer?" There are many more I could think of.....
