Someone on the WBMUTBB Digest inquired about the TAGS/M*A*S*H connection.
The two main connections are, of course, William Christopher making two TAGS
appearances, and Jaime Farr making one. Vice versa, Ronny Howard appeared on
the
first season M*A*S*H episode 'Sometimes You Hear The Bullet' when he was
eighteen. In reality, Ronny was old enough to be in the Army by 1972, unlike
his
character in M*A*S*H. Arlene Golonka, Millie on TAGS and R.F.D., had a
M*A*S*H episode centered around her character entitled 'Edwina' also from its
first season. Hope Summers, Clara on TAGS, was seen on M*A*S*H. George
Lindsey,
Goober, guest starred on 'Temporary Duty' in 1978. Production wise, writers
Jim Fritzell and Everett Greenbaum wrote excellent episodes of both TAGS and
M*A*S*H. Director Gene Reynolds directed episodes from both series.
