I don't think anyone minded that so much as they did the fact it seemed to 
happen so quickly, almost within minutes of Barney's heartbreak, as if he's 
supposed to heal that quickly and that abruptly.  Perhaps it wouldn't have 
looked 
so bad if it took place over a longer period of time, say several hours or 
even a couple of days.  It also came off looking like Barney's life lesson was 
"Pretty girls are like the sunset, there'll be another one tomorrow," and that 
seemed kind of cold in that context.  But Barney falling for Nettie, that 
perhaps wasn't so bad by itself.
