I can't help it - I am partial to Nettie. Alberta Walker who played Nettie went on to play Flora Malherbe who was Goober's girlfriend in the color episodes. If Barn hadn't had a little chemistry with Nettie, then Goober might have never had Flora as a girlfriend! But I have to agree, it was a rather shallow flip flop for Barney
