>Don't forget Barney also had a thing going with Melissa Stevens while he
>was dating Thelma Lou....

All this talk about Barney's running around behind Thelma Lou.....let's list
all of Barney's girlfriends. See if we can get them in the order of
appearance (or not as in the case of Juanita....) I'll start with

Rosemary...he walks her to church. Then there was Hilda Mae (or May). We're
not sure about Olive. But it does her heart good to see a thin man eat.
Next?

Somethign to consider when complaining about what "pieces" are cut from
episodes. I know this is really far fetched for us TAGS fans. But s'pose you
were a big exec at TV Land. You decide to include all the epilogs of a
particular show's showing - since the originals were about 25 minutes long
and today's sitcoms are about 20 mintus long - what to do, what to do. Cut
pieces and sell more commercials? Or include every single second of the
original show and lose money by having to cut back on selling ad spots????
What to do???? What do YOU think the execs are thinking? You KNOW they aint'
got no buckets.......and all they think about is $$$$$$$$$$$$ It's a no
brainer. Next time you watch a more current sitcom - time it. See if it's
not much more than about 20 minutes. Or just maybe it's that 30 mintues
today is not quite as long as 30 minutes back in the 60s. We did seem to
have more time for things like sitting on porches, telling long tales. As
Aunt Bee said to Andy regarding Opie's difficulty in learning history -
"Well, there's so much more of it now."

Harriet, hiding out in Kelsy's Woods with her thieving chickens

......"Johnny Paul Jason says chewing tar is good for your teeth"..."That's
an old wives tale"...."Johnny Paul ain't married"........
