Hi ya'll,
Just a quick note to say howdy-do from Northern New York (yes, there
is something above the city) and to let you know we are die hard fans
of TAGS as well. I think the passing of Don Knotts was one of the
saddest events for me in recent memory (as well as for some of my
friends). The tears on my pillow do bespeak the pain which is STILL
in my heart. I absolutely LOVED that man and will always be sad I
could not have seen him or met him sometime. I think there are many,
many, ways someone can be a great humanitarian and I think giving
laughter and an example of kindness and caring are certainly as real
and as important as any other form of work. How many youngsters were
taught great lessons through TAGS? How many "bad days" ended a little
better because of TAGS? In all seriousness Don Knotts, Andy Griffith
and their entire crew have done something so good ...........it is a
cardinal act of mercy for a hurting world. Thank God in Heaven for
the goodness they have "bestowen". Oh how my heart sings.......

PS I grew up 35 miles from Canada and my brother is a 25 year deputy
sheriff there (Jefferson County); he still lives in the house we grew
up in built before 1865; I live now in Central New York.

Mari Ellen Ryan
