I too have noticed a lot of missing scenes. My favorite, which I haven't seen for a looooong time is in the episode where Barney is trying to sell real estate. It follows the part where Opie talks about the Taylor house defects if front of the potential buyers. Barney follows the customers out the door and then returns with an angry, bug-eyed glare at the Taylors - one of the funniest scenes in the entire series. Does anybody know if this scene is in the dvd episodes?
