I was watching the episode tonight where Andy, Barney, Helen and Thelma Lou all get twisted up in an argument. It got to the part where Barney made Helen mad by saying that Andy had referred to her as "third party." I always get so tickled when Barney then says, "it's not dirty." Then, Andy finds out and says, "she got her back up about that?" I've heard that expression all my life, but I'm wondering if it's a typically Southern expression. I'm from GA, so it's something that I'm very familiar with. Oh, I also recently watched the episode where Briscoe says that he "ain't about to be beat to death by no spoon." That is hysterical to me! He was so perfect in that role, and he was always hilarious! "And, YOU... stop tantalizin'!" Kills me... just KILLS me!!!
