Me and Laura Lee Hobbs were paying our respects at a grave yard in Alabama a few years ago, and we came across two graves of men who were named Opie (one born in 1912 and the other in 1947, as far as we could tell, no relation to each other). So this proves that people were being named Opie long before TAGS. Opie may not be the most popular name in the world, but it was a name people knew about and gave their sons even in southeastern Alabama. Just thought you would like to know of this "Opie" sighting.
