I was wathing one of the later episodes of Little House which is on right before Tags in my neck of the woods & there was the former mayor Stoner as a man who oversees the schools in the local small towns. He gave Laura an oral test to get her teaching certificate so that she could go to one of the near by towns to fill in for an older teacher who had broken her leg. He made an exception for Laura after she passed the test, as she was two weeks shy of being 16, the required minimum age for teachers in that era & location. He was much nicer than he was as the mayor of Mayberry. Did anyone else cath that episode?
