As mentioned in the latest eBullet, actress Beverly Tyler (who played Barney¹s fiancée, Gladys ³Melissa² Stevens, in ³Barney on the Rebound²) died on November 23. It is interesting to note that Beverly was, in real life, the daughter-in-law of radio¹s ³Fibber McGee and Molly² -- radio legends Jim and Marian Jordan. Beverly married the famous couple¹s son, Jim Jordan, Jr., in 1962.
The McGee home at 79 Wistful Vista was not located in Mayberry, of course, but it might have fit in quite nicely!
