I thought he had a couple of middle names besides those listed: for example, he called himself Barney Tibbs Fife, and someone called him Barney Parney Poo. I don't know if Parney is the middle name and Poo the last name, or if it is Barney Parney Poo Fife. Just kidding - I guess his "real" middle name depends on what episode you're watching.
On another subject - the funniest episode - I have trouble coming up with just one, as most probably will, but it may be when Ernest T. tries to join the army. I laugh and laugh when that one comes on. I love it!
