Hey fellow sleuths, Have a question for you trained noticers,
Was the actress who played Floyd's girlfriend the same actress who played the girl Gloria in the excellent movie, "The Lost Weekend"? I caught that movie again this week and, even though Gloria had an accent and looked down and out, I thought she was Floyd's sweetie who was trying to take him for a couple of hundred dollars. The little stinker. And did it ever bother any of you the way Andy was too nice to some of the meanies who crossed by Mayberry? How about couple who abandoned their baby? I don't care what the fight was about, that mother was crazy to pull such a stunt. Any nut job could have passed by and picked that child up and who knows what could have happened! I'm not sure just what the right course of action for a comedy should have been, but telling that mother don't let it happen again doesn't quite seem enough to me. As a child lover, I wanted to see some suffering on the part of that mother. Remember, she was the one who decided to leave the baby after arguing with her husband. Why would ANY parent do that unless they could not raise their child at all. Oh, don't get me started.
