Since I had to give the only copy of the TAGS DVDs I could find to my
preacher for Christmas, I have now done my part to ensure there will be
future releases of more seasons. I have purchased my 2nd copy (which I
intend to keep). I'll have to watch it on the sly, though, Mrs.
Mendelbright doesn't know I have a DVD player in my room.

He was in one of my favorite Leave it to Beaver eps also. Played a
restaurant manager at some swanky place where the Cleavers were eating
on the way to a football game. Beaver was forced to eat his Brussel
Sprouts and Otis was trying to play peacemaker, but of course Ward would
have none of that.

Ron Howard. Pretty funny stuff. One of the lines was that Ron is still
recognized from his Mayberry days. He said the other day a man came up
to him and said, "Hey, I remember you from The Any Griffith Show" to
which Ron responded. "You should. You're Don Knotts."

After a wonderful tribute last year to the Andy Griffith Show, its
surprising that this year there are no Griffith Show choices in the
Tvland awards categories. The closest nomination I see is Ralph Furley
(Don Knotts) as favorite nosy neighbor.
Here are categories they have that I think the slighted the greatest
classic show ever.
Favorite Catchphrase "Nip it in the Bud"
Theme song you just can't get out of your head "The Fishin' Hole"
Favorite Crimestopper "Barney Fife"
Favorite character heard but never seen "Leonard Blush" "The Morrison
Sisters"
But they redeemed themselves (TVLand") with a nice tribute to TAGS
Saturday morning called "Top Ten" highlighting the top ten shows as
chosen by Andy Don and Ron Howard. Anyone know when that will be
broadcast again?
