The pink Elephant bit, was a great unseen scene reference!!

Here's another tidbit. When Eleanor Poultice refers to Leonard Blush,
she looks up at her wall as if there is a picture of him..but we never
see the picture. We are left to wonder whether the picture includes the
"mask"

So Leonard Blush is still on Mayberry Milk Cartons.

This Candy thing??? Didn't it start with Cashew Fudge? Since Barney
referred to a pan of it, can't we assume it was homemade by Thelma Lou?

I would tell you to quote some rose poetry, but you might get a marriage
proposal, so have your wooden spoon on hand.

How about "tick a lock" "Don't be late for suppa" "the Will of the
People" "We will not move" We will not move" move us too!" "Move us
too"

Good question about the new "suit of clothes"

Does Andy's swimsuit at Lee Drake's pool count?
How about Barney's black suit for horse riding?

Hey, John, since you lost your tv, you could 'call the man' who has the
combination tv repair shop/funeral home (can't remember his name). He
could come over and pick up your tv in his hearse.

I just love it when Aunt Bee gets cranked off and says things like, "You
know, you've grown awfully hard" or "Maybe you should go to CHURCH more
often!" and "Tell him to suit himself " But I guess you wouldn't want to
say things like that at a party. How about, "Well, if it isn't Marshall
Matt Dillon! Where's Chester?" Also, "You know, your education was worth
every penny." Oh, and don't forget to recite some of that Rose Poetry.

My theory on 2 Ben Weavers. I know that the original Ben Weaver was a
crusty old bachelor so he didn't have anyone to carry on the name. So I
am thinking that the 2nd Ben Weaver the one shown tonight when the
little old lady was shoplifting was his nephew. He was named after his
uncle and upon old Ben's death he inherited the department store.

Phipps has a fountain and tea service.
Weaver's don't.

Phipps has a beauty salon.
Weaver's don't.

Phipps has a catchy TV jingle.
Weaver's don't.

Weaver's has Mayberry.
Phipps don't.

Weaver's wins!

"I'm looking for some of your favorite Aunt Bee Remarks."

Here is one that I can think of:
     Oh, flibbertigibbet!

Speaking of Gomer, he was very sensitive. Not just in the episode with Mary
Grace, but in other episodes as well. He never wanted to hurt anyone's
feelings or cause anyone any trouble. He was exactly the type of guy Mary
Grace needed because, although he hoped she would be pretty, he didn't even
seem to notice that she wasn't. Andy and Barney seemed to be much more
concerned with her looks than with anything else, but not Gomer. He looked at
her as a whole person, not just some ornament to hang on his arm. So in that
area, Gomer was really smarter than they were. He knew that inner beauty is
more important than outer beauty and, while it is nice to have both, it is much
more preferable to have the inner without the outer than the other way around.

Mary Grace Gossage
"Why, it wouldn't be right for you, Mary Grace, to go to the dance unadorned."

How about these:

Andy!!

According to you, the Lord made two sexes...men and blabbermouths.

Oh, fibberdegibbit!

What time do the Indians eat?

Opie, you can't come to breakfast like that, a naked savage!

"I don't remember anyone mentioning a grocery store as a possible source for
buying candy.
As a young un, back in the 30s, I can remember buying candy for a penny, but
sure can't remember what kind of store it was except I think there was this
counter enclosed in glass where the candy was kept."

On the eastern shore of Virginia (Melfa, for anyone from there) my grandmother
worked in the town's "general store" where there was a penny candy counter. I
don't remember fudge. I do remember Mary Janes, gum drops and vanilla swirls.
That was in the 40s and 50s. By mid 60s it was gone.
