Take it easy guy. Maybe a cell won't be necessary. Just calm down and go over
to the diner and get yourself that Businessman's Special.

I've been following the unseen money trail but I have to tell you it's mighty
confusing to me. I'm not sure if I understand the rules. Has the gold truck
been mentioned? How about Barney's 15 cent (quarter!) Learn-a-Month magazine?
And wasn't there mention in a later show about buried treasure? Let's see now
. . . was the value of the contents of the mobile museum (that Warren was
supposed to be guarding) mentioned?

Are you perhaps referring to the gold transported through Mayberry in the gold

Has anyone mentioned the time the bad guy got away with Andy's leaky boat
and Andy said "I sure wasn't happy this morning whenthat boat was leaking
but right now I wouldn't take a dollar and a quarter for it." or something
like that.

>>>Just got back from grocery shopping. One of the tabloids has him on the
cover with a title of "Don's Last Days." Common sense/some bit of morality
kept me from picking it up and reading.
Martha Humphreys, the disdainful
>>>
I didn't buy it, but I picked it up and read the article (can a person ever
get too much culture?) The primary focus was the recently-cancelled event
that was supposed to be held in Morgantown. Naturally, the article also
mentions Andy, specifically the fact that Andy offered him work on Matlock
when his (Don's) eyesight started to go. Except for the title, the
overall tone was positive.

It looks like attorney Neil Bentley will be handling a few
Mayberry cases after all, what with Ed (The Robber)'s slander case against Aunt
Bee, and Andy's confusion over
paying taxes for the prizes Aunt Bee won.
And me? Well, for the last few days, I've been using my hubby's reading
glasses because I have lost mine, and I am sure to get into some kind of
driving problem, if my typing
is any indication of how well I can see!
Mr. Bentley, your card. I suspect I will be needing your
services.

We were overjoyed yesterday to receive the 3rd season of TAGS from Weavers -
we watched "The Darlings Are Coming" , Disc 4, 6th episode and it was a sad
day when the epilog was edited out - the one where Andy performs the marriage
ceremony in the court house between Charlene & Dud, then The Darlings & Andy
play & sing a song then the credits are run but not on this dvd episode -
come to find out that on the rear of the main container, back side, lower left
corner there is a disclaimer in very small print that states "Some episodes
may be edited from their original network versions" - seasons 1 & 2 are
perfect
- not season 3 - We are glad to have kept all of our VHS episodes - it to
bad Paramount etc., couldn't get it right - the disclaimer is not on seasons 1
& 2. Our VHS episodes have the missing epilogs that were left out of season
3 - we are glad we kept them instead of selling them - if you're gonna do it
- do it right as my Paw used to say - [EMAIL PROTECTED]

When I lived in Southern Mississippi and ordered iced tea, it was always sweet.
I always wondered what diabetics would do there. There was never a choice of
sweet or unsweetened, just tea, which was very, very sweet, and delicious.......

As for "Show me the Mayberry money":
How about when Barney was "playing" the part of a real estate agent? I don't
remember the actual amounts off hand, but his commission would have been in the
thousands (according to him).

Thanks to all those playing "Show me the Mayberry Money,,, and even
those who went a different direction with it.
Correct currencies listed so far:
A Confederate Savings Bond FOR $100
$50.00 found in Parnell Rigsby's man-purse-- Yes I believe we did see
it.
A buffalo Nickel (actually 2)
(now these from Jeff's list, though he didn't catch the part about not
to include how much stuff costs)
A Dividend Check for 27 cents
$52.50 in cash for the Scobey's Mortgage payment (which we did see at
least most of)
$5,000 Certified Check from National Records (going to give Jeff that
one even though he didn't say certified check)
$25.00--wasn't that the amount from Elizabeth Crowley that she was
actually shown paying In cash?
There is another form of currency not listed yet--and more instances of
cash shown--can you name them??
(hint big and small amounts)
--------------------------
Not to be two picky--but here are the original instructions--We're not
looking for what stuff costs
Either Money is shown,
Or Money is mentioned in a context other than what something costs
Many times, on our favorite show, we are shown money or some form of
currency
I can think of at least 5 forms of currency/legal tender off-hand and
there are probably more......
Also there are times that when an amount of money is mentioned
prominently but the money is "unseen"
Can you name some of these as well?? Now I don't mean price signs, or
what something costs, but when somebody mentions doing something with a
specific amount of money. For instance the Business Man' special for 80
cents doesn't count, but leaving a "quarter" tip does.
---------------------------
Mr. Sasser had a good one for category 2.
Andy saying "Right now I wouldn't take wouldn't take a dollar and a
quarter for it!"
OK get your two cents worth in now
