Gary, thanks for sharing about Jean and your relationship with her on your

photos, too. What a doll Jean was!

Hey There Y'all,
Sorry it's been so long since I wrote my last letter, but I had a lot of
chores to do. The one thing that keeps my feet on the ground and my head in
the clouds (sorta like a Giraffe) is TAGS and keeping a watch out on the
bulletin board to make sure no one's been triflin'
with it. I haven't been to Mayberry Days, but have had the pleasure of
spending a day or so every now and then just sitting in the shade in Mt. Airy.
One
time I took my guitar and played some of the songs from the show and I could
swear I heard Brisco and the boys playing along. What a beautiful place, I
hope to go back some day. However, I couldn't resist the temptation to pick up
a phone and say, "Sarah, this is Eric .Could you get me Lisa over at my
house?"
Bless Those Who Have Gone Before Us, We'll Meet Again,
Eric In Memphis,
(Still trying to get good enough to play with Bobby Fleet)

Many thanks to all the digest family who sent e-mails, prayers and tributes to
the digest and mem.com during the passing of my son. I love all you guys. I'm
glad that I have found a class of folks who still have Mayberry Hearts. God
Bless All of You!

I cannot remember the name of the movie, but I am darn sure that Francis
Bavier played a key role. The movie was released about 1971 and was about a
young couple who terrorized Francis' character in hopes that she would die
and that they could benefit and buy a very fancy car. One scene shows them
frolicking around the car of their dreams. You may remember, as in one
scene the two youths were carrying signs that said, "OUT WITH THE OLDIES".
They had convinced Francis that a movement was underway to exterminate
anyone over the age of 60. Do any of you remember this "B" movie?
Dr. Steve

Hey friends,

Just a note to say how much i, too, will miss Jean. It was such a joy to work
with her and to perform the skit that the untrained voice prepared for us.
Jean and I had a wonderful conversation about a month ago about her life as an
actor and how richly blessed she had always felt about that. I must tell each
of you that I share her feelings about the value of entertaining audiences and
will truly miss our moments on stage together.

So long, "Doll".

Everyone at Mrs. Mendelbright's Boarding House was saddened to hear of the
passing of Jean Carson. We had the pleasure of meeting her and Howard Morris
at Mayberry in the Midwest in New Castle, Indiana. They were both very classy
people. May they never be forgotten!

place it.
When you're tapin' a movie, you can't interrupt it LOL.

lots of young people today don't even know who or what TAGS is or was
some told me they've never seen the show, I spect that would go for Gomer
too.

That goes for Beverly Hillbillies (the series) and their spin off shows

Our newly formed chapter, 6 7/8, held our first meeting tonight in Oxford, NC.
We watched three reruns; the first one of course being "The Jinx" (Henry
Bennett). Of course, we had to watch one of the Fun Girls, in memory of Jean.
Needless to say, we had a blast!!!!!!!

Jim, thank you so much for all of your hard work in sending out the Bullet to
all of us, especially this most recent one, with the beautiful tribute to Miss
Carson. It is so heartwarming to read all of the stories and memories of her
that everyone is sharing. It just confirms what we all knew.... Miss Carson
was a beautiful lady inside and out. It seems to me that the best way to honor
her memory would be for all of us to keep sharing the "fun" of TAGS in our
world.

I was watching "The King of Queens" Monday night and heard a familiar voice
from TAGS. I looked up and sure enough it was our Millie/Arlene Golonka. It
was great to see Miss Golonka, she looked great and still had our sweet
Millie's attitude from TAGS. On "The King of Queens" she was even nice early
in the morning (unlike when she and Howard were riding the train with Andy and
Helen, I guess that was because she had already "had her coffee and put her
face on").

............Can't you just see Ernest T. doing chin up's for Daphne!!!.......

Anita Carpenter
One of Cincinnati's Biggest TAGS Fans!!!

It was cool to see Arlene Golonka on last night's (Nov. 7) episode of the
CBS sit-com "King of Queens" playing the love interest for Arthur Spooner
(Jerry Stiller). Her "Millie" voice gives her away every time!

Can anyone tell me about what time Andy would've set his alarm clock to
get up in the morning?

I'm guessing he probably didn't have a snooze button, either.

Lots a luck to you and yours,
Gomer in Gurnee
