Just wanted to wish all you cyber-Mayberrians a Merry Christmas and a happy
and healthy 2006! We've been freezing here in WV lately, but now the day
before Christmas, it is in the high 40s-mid 50s! But there is supposed to
be snow on the way next week. Y'all have a good time on Christmas wherever
you live, and best wishes for the new year! Lisa

Me and Laura Lee Hobbs want to thank Danna and Frank for sharing their Mayberry
moment with us. Yes, you have raised those kids right when you hear a
grandchild proclaim, "Citizen's arrest, citizen's arrest!" I'm sure you must
be mighty proud.
Doesn't it make your day when you have a Mayberry Moment? My favorite will
forever be the lost elderly couple who "hooted" for each other as they looked
for their car in
a Wal-Mart shopping lot several months ago. Every time my
beloved and I separate for a prolonged time, I tell him, a if I can't find you,
you'll hear me; I'll be the one hooting. So far, it has worked. Ain't missed
him yet.
Lydia and Laura Lee Hobbs, hooting loud and clear in Shady Grove, Mississippi
Have you hooted for someone you love today?

Hey to all Holiday Goobers!
We would like to wish the lot of you a Christmas beyond any you've ever had!
How about if we all try to , at least once, during our time with family
and friends on Christmas, say something "Mayberryish" and then if we get a
good response, report it back to the digest next week. I sometimes get cute
responses and sometimes blank stares like, "what's that mean?
Have A Mayberry Day,

Argentina Brunetti of TAGS' "The Gypsies" died December 20 in Rome at age 98.

She also appeared in the USMC episode "Gomer the Good Samaritan" and Don
Knott's 1968 film THE SHAKIEST GUN IN THE WEST. Ms. Brunetti is probably best
remembered as 'Mrs. Martini' in IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE (1946).

Argentina had her own website, which she regularly blogged up until her
passing...

Once again the Holiest of days is here! This day is the reason for one of
the best, if not THE best episode of TAGS of all! Even Old Ben Weaver, as
cantakerous as he was, had his heart changed. Perhaps the moonshine jug stayed
empty from then on, or at least I would like to think it did. Even Barney had
no
unkind words of advice for anyone! But that was the scrawniest Santa Claus I
ever saw!
As we open gifts, remember the perfect Gift.
As we eat our feasts, remember the Feast we are all invited to.
As some of us have sacrificed to buy needed things for our children or the
children of those who lost everything, let us remember the Greatest Sacrifice.
It isn't because of Santa Claus we have Christmas. It is because of
Christmas we have the perfect Gift, the perfect Feast, the perfect Sacrifice.
And, it
is because of Christmas we have ..........Santa Claus!!! or St. Nicholas,
whatever. Say St. Nicholas fast enough and it sounds like Santa Claus.
Enjoy this perfect day with you families, or if you have no family, enjoy
knowing the Perfection has been accomplished....for free!!
Merry Christmas, everyone!!

Maybe you'll get into publishing and we'll have to find you a pen name, Allan.

Allaine Alexian Dubois comes to mind

Merry Christmas and Thanks Again
I appreciate it.
