Was ole Barn, the goob, ope, or gomer not there? It seems like more of them

Thanks!

I am curious about the statues, did they make new ones or just move them
from Raleigh? I bet these never get vandilized! W.V. BIGGEST FAN SUSAN

"We also saw "No Time for
Sergeants" and I thought it was one of the finest plays I had seen."
Do you know the author of NO TIME FOR SERGEANTS, Ira Levin, also wrote
ROSEMARY'S BABY and THE STEPFORD WIVES--among many others? He wrote the play
to practice dialogue because his aim was to write novels. Not pertinent to
TAGS, but, to me at least, interesting, and it might help someone in a game of
Trivial Pursuit. :)

Hey Fellow Mayberrians,
It's good to hear about your Mayberry Day's experience's. It sounds
great. Sue , when I was reading yours, I read something about a
vantriloquist that had a Barney doll. Do you think that there is a way to
purchase one of those doll's. I'd love to have one. Thanks for any info you
might have on that.

That was probably Jeff Koontz - wish I was there, but once again didn't
make it.

I have been to Mt. Airy twice, but have not been to Wally's. Where is it? I
think I may have seen it, but am not sure....(After all, subterfuge is not my
business!!!) Also, can someone describe Wally's? Was there a pop machine with
Nectarine Crush and Huckleberry Smash? etc...

I've tears in my eyes,
and I'm sad to say...
I didn't make it
to Mayberry Day!
(Now, I realize it is "Mayberry Days", but "Days" didn't rhyme with "say" so
I had to cheat a little bit for the sake of a good poem... 'cause to me, it
ain't a poem if the words don't rhyme!)
Yup, I wasn't able to make it to Mayberry Days, as it is too darned far to
travel from Minnesota, what with the kids in school and all. I just wanted
to let y'all know that:
1) I really appreciate all of the reports and descriptions of your visits to
Mt Airy, and
2) I am so very jealous!!
Thanks, and happy motoring!

Did anyone ever post the solution of the scrambled word that
was in the digest here a few days back?
I'm not very good at those things and I tried turning those letters every way I
could
think of but never did come up with any Mayberry words.

Allow me to thank everyone who participated in the 6th annual WBMUTBB Silent
Auction this past Saturday. We raised $4730 for the Surry Arts Council
thanks to the generosity of so many of you donating items, giving of your
time, and bidding on some very special items this year. I do appreciate each
of you who help make this a successful event during Mayberry Days.
