So when are you inviting us all to dinner?

Oops. Wrong medium, wrong century, wrong country. But it fit so well with a
fried chicken reference.

That's fun! Thank you. If you're keeping score, I'm Andy Griffith. To which
I say: Wow! Never would I have aimed so high.

Been mulling for a bit, and I disagree. I think you can judge actions and
still love the person. My husband does stupid things--like not being a TAGS
fan--but I still love him.

Ted,
I wish you'd throw a piece of that "delish" sounding chicken at me. I
haven't had my lunch yet.

P.S. Of course the "Delish" reference was to the "Eat Your Heart Out"
(AKA A Girl for Goober) episode. I just love that little catfight that
Helen and Flora have and Helen gets extremely sarcastic with taunting
Flora with her descriptions of Fab, Delish, and Yummy. Then Flora sets
Ange up with a perfectly carved quarter of an apple pie and throws Helen
a plate of something that resembled apples and crust but looked like it
fell on the floor and got stepped on. Makes me laugh every time.

Don't forget, though, there are plenty of actors who are also licensed
pilots. Harrison Ford is likely the best-known example.

http://tvparty.com/vaultcomsp.htmlhas clips of several TV shows & their
commercial spots. Interesting to see Andy & Barney hawking Grape Nuts
before Ewell Gibbons did. Andy & Carol Channing selling Sanka coffee,
She also sold Post Corn Flakes with Gomer Pyle. I also saw Ozzie,
Harriet, & the boys selling Aunt Jemima pancake batter.
Click the name of the TV show to see additional ads. Interesting site
that I hope to explore when I have more time.

Good job on the "Mayberry Citizen" quiz! Very cleverly done.
Dawn in Kansas City
(The Quiz says I'm Aunt Bee. I suspect I'm a little Goober thrown in for
good measure.)

Thanks to all of you who took the Mayberry Quiz so far.
I would be interested in finding out who everyone was. I ended up being good
ole' Barn.
So far from the results I know, we have....
1- Andy
1- Helen
2- Barney's
1-Goober
2- Opie's
Here is the link again for the quiz in case you missed it.

Hey folks,
I wanted to let all of you know that the ErnestT.com web site is back up
and running full speed ahead. I've been working with Ernest T's son
David and Ernest T himself (Howard Morris) to get the site updated and
new stuff added.
ErnestT.com is starting a "Fan Club" for Ernest T. and you can sign up
there on the site for it. It'll be sending out it's very first
newsletter which is called "The Rock" (because Ernest T is gonna throw
it at ya') on Monday night. So, you will want to drop by and want to get
signed up for the fan club so you can get that very first newsletter.
I've already seen it and I think you'll enjoy it.
Also, check out the "It's Me" section of the web site. It's written by
Mr. Morris himself and I believe you'll like that.
There is a VERY neat collectible made of cement there as well and I'm
sure you'll like it. It's not cheap but it's for sure something that
Mayberry fans would want to have.
