I have the first three season of The Dick Van Dyke Show on DVD, too, and it is
wonderful. My only complaint is that it isn't closed-captioned. However, it
is a well-thought-out compliation and the extras blew me away, such as the
never-aired pilot episode.
I really hope the powers that be follow the fine example of Doug Denoff, (son
of DVD writer, Sam Denoff). It was his determination that got the project of
The Dick Van Dyke Show on DVD done to such perfection.
I've been praying for The Andy Griffith Show to be released on DVD with some
of the extra treats and with the original theme song. I can hardly wait!

With all the discussion on the DVD sales, I think we should all stay on top of
it to make sure ALL episodes/seasons are released. The following website lets
you vote for what you want to see produced on DVD's. It also has a section
for release dates for lots and lots of shows, etc. (you can choose by month).
You can also add comments when voting. You do have to register, but not a
biggie. Again, I think if we all put our two cents worth in (wooden nickel's
worth?) and stay on top of it and persevere, we might just get all that we
want. As for the price, I really don't think they will be that high, compared
to others that have been released.

Hello from Australia. Ten episodes of TAGS came out on DVD here a few months
ago although I'm not sure they're legitimate since they don't have the correct
theme song. A developer actually was using the theme in their ads for selling
their housing estate so don't know if the song has been sold for this area?
Most annoying. Anyway, there are 5 episodes on a DVD with extras. One has:
Andy's English Valet, Mountain Wedding, Opie the Spoiled Child, Rafe Hollister
Sings and Class Reunion. The other one has: High Noon at Mayberry, Loaded Goat,
The Big House, A Wife for Andy and Andy Discovers America. The two DVD set
sells for $14.99 AUD which would be about half that in American dollars. It was
licensed from Countdown Media, a division of Madacy Entertainment Group out of
Hong Kong. You folks don't know how good you have it. That is probably about
all that will ever come out here so whatever you can get, I'd be grateful. At
least my kids have been introduced to the show.
Cheers,
Rona Down Under

We found all the episodes from our favorite tv detective on DVD. I'm referring
to Columbo, of course. I'm sure after viewing all 27 discs, we'll find some
TAGS alumni.
