Two sightings to report: I saw Ben Weaver as a hotel manager (I I think
that's what he was; he only had about 2 seconds of screen time) in the very
enjoyable 1952 movie "O. Henry's Full House."

Also saw Cousin Virgil playing a hapless but well-intentioned fireman in
Steve Martin's "Roxanne."

Please someone help! My husband is restoring an old Motto Guzzi Motorcycle.
Looks allot like the cop bikes in the old 60's TV shows and yes, it has a
side-car. I would really like to find a couple of Sheriff Star stickers to
help complete the restoration. Can anyone offer any advice? I have been to
Weavers and EBay with no luck. Any suggestions?
Lots of luck to you and yours.

Hi,

I believe this was Ross Elliot, who also played on I Love Lucy when they were in
Hollywood. He played Ricky's press agent.

He also played one of the club members when Andy and Barney were planning
to join the men's club in Raleigh or Mount Pilot?

OK, but don't say any thing bad about the preacher unless you want to teach
Sunday School for a long time.

Andy Griffith Show: Season 1, scheduled for release on October 12. All
we have at this time is the date; once we get more information it will
be posted to the site.

Thanks for the good news! That's just in time for my 40th birthday on October
12. That gives me plenty of time to drop some not-so-subtle hints as to what I
want for a birthday present. (Please, no canning jars.)

Hi All,
I have to be in the big city of Raleigh, N.C. next month, and I thought while
I was there, I would go see the Andy and Opie statue. But, where is it?
Thanks for the help!

Steve (and other future travelers),

The statue (still minus the plaque) is at Pullen Park, just west of
downtown. Your best bet is to get MapQuest directions to 520 Ashe Avenue
Raleigh, NC. The parking lot is near the Western Blvd / Ashe Ave
intersection. Once you are in the park, the statue is between the carousel
and the duck pond.

It took awhile before the LA Symphony recovered the $3,500,000 Stradivarius
Cello, so hopefully the plaque will turn up as well.
