Thanks so much Mayor for adding the link to the TV soap opera. I don't have
sound on my computer, but I watched it anyway. To tie it into Mayberry, I can
picture Barney sleeping on his cot in the back room. Suddenly shouting out in
his sleep and waking up shaken. Otis would say, "What's the matter Barn, you
woke me up." Barney would say, "I had a horrible nightmare." "First I was
sleeping and strangers were there talking about me." "Then I was doing my
rounds checking doorknobs, but they were all in the same area." "Then I
noticed I was wearing overalls instead of my uniform." "Then there was the
blue soap, it was everywhere." Otis, "Sounds awful! Well, be sure and give
me two lumps of sugar with my coffee in the morning. Good night." At which
point Barney would roll his eyes and head back to his cot.
