I got thinking about Sara and how she has 3-4 hours off when the Mendlebright
sisters visit by phone so I took her a nice Sunday dinner but when I got up to
leave Sara started talking and I didn't want to be rude and just walk away now
Ernest T. Bass might like a rude but I sure don't, well anyway she told me
about Dud Wash (divorce mountain style) hunting on Big Jeff Pruitt farm and
Jeff called him in to have some hard cider and they got talkin and Jeff said he
was getting tired of farming and he sure didn't want to marry Bertha even if
she did have the farm next to his and Dud was getting tired of hunting in the
swamps with his head all stopped up so they decided to sell the farm and all of
Duds guns and ran off to the west coast. They happened to see a cute little
boat called "The Minnow" and bought it. They figured they could make some money
taking tourists for boat rides, well they were getting ready for a 3 hour tour,
but somebody forgot to check the weather bureau, and they got caught in a
really bad storm and were shipwrecked on a deserted island. Well they were
stuck there for years and when they finally got rescued they just disappeared!
I guess they were to embarrassed to face anybody. Well when Charlene Darling
Wash realized Dud wasn't coming back she was so upset, for about a minute, she
ran off in the woods to find Ernest T Bass she found him in his cave washing
his food with his raccoon and opossum so she moved in with her squirrels and
chipmunks. Now Briscoe Darling wasn't going to stay in the cabin alone (he got
his 4 boys married off) so he went to live with his brother-in-laws family "The
Dukes of Hazzard" you won't believe this but you will never guess who else was
there none other than Jim Lindsey! Thats right he was playing a gig at the fair
(yes he left Bobby Fleets band again) but he wasn't doing to good so when he
was in the barber shop he saw a note on the bulletin board so he went to see
about it. Well he got the job so now he hung up his guitar and strapped on his
gun belt and holster and now he is the "sheriff of Hazzard County" How about
that! Well when barney heard about Jim He went strutten around town like a
proud peacock telling everybody about his boy Jim. Oh one more thing then I
have to go. You know how little Leon wanders around all the time well he
wandered into the woods and got lost, nobody could find him but after a while
somebody said they saw Leon with a big bear well not to worry because Leon
always liked to share his peanut butter and jelly sandwich so now Leon and
"Gentle Ben" are the best of friends. Well got to run They're making me take a
bath and it's only wednesday what am I being punished for? Susan WV BIGGEST FAN
