Every time I've been in a Target Store the past few weeks. I am reminded
of Jean Carson aka Fun Girl, Daphne. (and prison escapee). They have
Hearts hanging from the ceiling that look like the little Candy Hearts
with words on them. The have things on them like "Hello Baby", "Be My
Valentine", "Hello Sugar", etc. ...but the one that always catches my
eye, and makes me think of that sultry voice and polka dress is "Hello
Doll".

They really should have a picture of Daphne hanging from that one. She
owns those words. She immortalized those words.
Emmitt, Mr. "Them Timers are Tricky" sound wave man, we need that sound
bite on your site, "Hello Doll".

Happy Valentines Day, Daphne!! And all you other Dolls out there.

Mayberry had some great Lovers/Valentines. Ken covered the more famous
ones well in his poem.

night for 16 years (story Andy told the Lady Prisoner..they got married
and live in a little yellow house...)
Emma Larch and Bobby Gribble (announced their upcoming nuptials, even
though they carved another sentiment in cement in front of Floyd's)
Howard Sprague and Millie...or Howard and Betty Parker (Mayberry's
answer to Dancing with the Stars)
Goober and Flora...She really laid it on thick (the gravy that is)
Nate Bracey and his Wife (doing the Cha cha cha together)
Emmitt and Martha Clark (celebrated 25 years of marriage)
Ellen Brown and Pierre (lucky guy)
Sue and Harold Grigsby (even though she's a blonde right out of a
bottle)
the Widow Saunders and Fred Henry (sitting on slip covers her dearly
departed's Life Insurance paid for)
Dud And Charlene Walsh (the sweetest boy that every growed..saved a
mountain gladiola she gave him)
Mr. and Mrs. Scobey (sticking together through hard times)
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Muggins (Celebrating Christmas together in jail)
And my Valentine Couple of the Year:
Hanna Carter and Josh Wakefield--Determined to pursue their love despite
Feuding Families

Juanita, Juanita,
Lovely, dear Juanita,
>From your head down to your feet,
There's nothing half so sweet,
As Juanita, Juanita, Juanit.
-----------------------------------
When we are apart, I no-longer live...
Will all my love to give
"Who's with you?"
"Barney says nobody"
----------------------------------------
A rose I give to you
This rose so fresh with fragrance rare,
It's petals bringing joy to you
        The fairest of the fair.
        Oh roses are like memories
        They fade and pass above
But you dear heart will 'er remain
my fading flower of forgotten love.
