Thank you for the link to that delightful story on Betty Lynn; just confirms
what we've known all along! Now a question: when Andy mentions being in the lower fifth grade and his sweetheart being in the upper, I am not familiar with this concept at all. Can anyone out there enlighten me? Was it to divide up the two different ages or what? I've never heard of this anywhere else but on TAGS. I do remember that in seventh grade in Calif I went to what was called half-day sessions as the school was so crowded. I went from 12:05 till 4:30 and the classes were less than an hour but I never felt short-changed; I actually have fond memories of that year when I first took a music course along with art appreciation. Going to public school in the Midwest particularly Michigan and Illinois during the 40s and early 50s,the school terms were split into two, like seventh grade was 7B and then 7A,with the A or upper half being the last half of the year term Lou in Florida _______________________________________________ WBMUTBB mailing list [email protected] http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
