I've posted recently about scenes from different shows that are nearly identical. One of those I cited was Barney talking about going home , taking a nap, going over the Thelma Lou's (or some variation) that he repeats it a few times.
That one, I just discovered, appears at least three times. Main in a Hurry, (Season 3) middle of the episode--On Andy's porch (with Andy and Mr. Tucker) Barney says "You know what I think I'll do? Go home , Take a nap Go over to Thelma Lou's and watch a little TV (before he finishes the third time Mr. Tucker interrupts with Do it, just do it!) In Prisoner of Love, (Season 4) (beginning of episode) In front of Courthouse with Andy Go Home, Change, Drop by Thelma Lou's Watch that George Raft movie. (etc. Repeated) (it was night time so he probably didn't need the nap? Also only time he's in uniform) In The Luck of Newton Monroe (Season 5)--back on Andy's porch with Andy--talking about Thelma Lou's birthday Go down to the fillin station and get a Bottle of pop Take a Nap Go over to Thelma Lou's and watch TV (Andy finishes for him the third time) ------------------------check it out, are there others??? A couple of trivia Questions.... One I know the answer to (or at least one answer)...the other I need your help. 1) When did Otis appear on the show that he wasn't either A) in Jail or B) Drunk?? 2) Name someone, besides Prisoners, who visited Mayberry and DID NOT get invited to a Meal at the Taylor's home.
