Ben's post about mothers represented in Mayberry made me think of two of my favorite mother references. The first one being Fluffy who, despite being in full view of her kittens, climbed out on to the roof. I love how Andy says, "you know how you feel seeing your mother on the roof". Then there was Olive who was a widow with 4 children and the beneficiary of one of Barney's generous impulses. "Let's go ahead and let her keep it." I just know she put that quarter to good use.
