I think there was the famous poet Ralph Wendell Emerson. Oh I am sorry, it was Ralph Waldo Emerson. At least that is what Goober once said on Mayberry RFD when Howard was commissioned to write a poem.
I can't keep my Waldos and Wendells straight. Hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day. I was honored to once again drive the Gold Star Mothers in our city parade. They even shot off the old Civil War cannon. That got the festivities off to a real bang.
