Barney's Girl's Season One Season One-. Miss Rosemary -is Barney's first Girlfriend that we see. Though they are both bashful, he walk's her to church and notices her various color of shirt-wastes. Hilda-Mae is Barney's next girl, a blonde more his age. She lasts two episodes, (Ellie for Council and Andy Save's Barney's Morale) and likes to mess with his hair.
Late in Season One is also the first mention of Juanita. In 'Andy Forecloses" (Episode 28) Barney has her phone number hidden in his ticket book, and finally fesses up to Andy that he is sweet on her. Barney meets Thelma Lou in Episode 22, "Cyrano Andy" but is very bashful and backward. This is the only time we see Barney not being a confident ladies' man. Its also the only time we see Andy and Ellie on a double date with Barney and Thelma Lou. When "Barney gets his man" (Episode 30) Thelma Lou seems like she really cares for him, and Andy refers to Barney as "your boyfriend" in public. Thelma Lou gives him a little peck out of pride. Highlight: Getting kissed by Thelma Lou in Public. Getting kissed by Ellie, in a fake fling to steer him bravely to Thelma Lou. Lowlight: Barney is unsure what to do sitting beside Thelma Lou with the lights off and ends up in a different seat.
