I don't know if I ever thought much about this before, but it hit me that twice in this episode Thelma Lou gives Barney a kiss on the mouth. Not a peck on the cheek, mind you, but a bona fide smacker full on the lips. One was as she was leaving the court house after the anniversary celebration, and the other was while Barney was hanging in Andy's closet. So I asked myself, How many other times do we see Barney and Thelma Lou openly kiss on the lips? Most of the time, it's implied, such as when they've been alone together in the dark and then Barney emerges with lipstick all over his face. Or maybe Barney's trying to kiss her when Thelma Lou is discussing something with him, and she rebuffs him.
