No inconsistencies in the show. This is a Situation Comedy instead of a Serial. Serials follow the story from week to week. Situations go from show to show and can change the characters played and who played them, and however they want it. Like in Barney and the Choir Barney can't sing....not a lick! In the SongFesters he has a wonderful voice. Not inconsistent, but just the way that particular show is writ. However they did it beats anything the T and V networks put in front of us now!! I can imagine how Aunt Bee and Andy would have treated Opie had he used language or insinuations like they do today!! Everyone have a grand day and don't forget to laugh long, laugh hard, laugh often. welford the cameraless nuttt!!
