The Prisoner of Love was played by Susan Oliver. It is little wonder that you observed her in some re-run because in the 32 years between 1956 (Sudio One) and 1988 (Simon and Simon) Susan Oliver appeared in over 100 different television shows. Some of her more famous work includes Vina in the original Star Trek pilot, as Miss Camp Henderson in Gomer Pyle, and as Laura Horton in my wife's favorite soap opera, Days of Our Lives. She left us much too soon at the age of 58 in 1990. All her work brings to mind a famous quote by Fred Allen. In the late 40's during the transition between radio and television, Morey Amsterdam had his own show on TV and radio and appeared as guest on quite a few other shows. Fred Allen quipped "The only thing I can turn on in my house without getting Morey Amsterdam is the faucet". But I do have a question about this episode. Was the prisoner of love's name ever mentioned? I have checked several web sites and cannot find the character's name. You would think that when Andy has a trial for someone and then locks them up, at some point their name would be mentioned.
