Our family visited at Don Knotts hometown celebration last Saturday in Morgantown WV. Went to hear Don's daughter, Karen, perform her "Tied Up In Knotts" show. It was about an hour long and reflected a lot on her & the relationship with her father. Had some show clips from Don's variety hour that I hadn't seen before. Learned a lot about Don, his family, his success as an actor, and his love for his daughter. Very touching show with a lot of behind the scenes insight. If you get a chance to see this I'm sure you will not be disappointed. Shows us a part of the personal & family side of the great Don Knotts. Got to meet some nice folks who put the event on, and of course was wonderfully entertained by our own Mayberry Deputy, David Browning. Was also sure to get my Don Knotts hometown celebration t-shirt to add to my collection. Nice to wear when you don't have to wear your uniform. (You wear your uniform & I'll wear my uniform.) Only about a 2-1/2-3 hour drive for us so it made a nice one day trip.
