To echo another poster's message about Tom K. I also enjoy his messages.  I
think they are very thought-provoking and informative.  I enjoy reading the
descriptions of the scenes from specific TAGS episodes about Andy's or another
character's facial expressions, or when Andy Taylor for a split second becomes
Andy Griffith -- being visually impaired these little things I miss in the
episodes.  Now, I can go back and watch them at a closer look and see that
particular look or scene.  Thank you for pointing these out.  If there are
anymore, do not hesitate to post them, as I like the read about them.  Also, I
like hearing about Tom's encounters with character actors over the years,
whether it be by phone, letter or in person.  Those had to be wonderful,
memorable experiences for him.  He got to do what probably most people from
that time dreamed about (meeting or talking to their favorite actor/actress).
Most of the people he has mentioned in his
posts have passed on now, but he has great memories of conversations with them
or letters from them that will never be taken away.  Thank you for sharing
these times with us, and me.
In answer to the question, what is the most serious line of TAGS?  Well, I
think it was from Opie, the Birdman.  I don't have the exact wording, but I
think the dialogue went something like this:
Opie:  "The cage sure looks empty, Paw."
Andy:  "But don't the trees seem mighty full."

"In the best of times, our days are numbered anyway.  And so it would be
a crime against nature for any generation to take the world crisis so
solemnly that we would put off doing those things for which we were
intended for in the first place, the opportunity to do good work, to fall
in love, to enjoy friends, to hit a ball and to bounce a baby" --Alistaire Cooke
