When I was a kid, I was crazy about "Father Knows Best"--partly because of Princess/Betty/Ellie. So when the first season was released, I ordered it. What a disappointment. I guess I've become accustomed to TAGS where in every episode there's at least one thing--a character, a bit of humor, one of the serious moments Kim talked about in Saturdays digest--that makes the program "timeless." Not so in FNB. The kids whine; the parents seem sappy. Now I'm just glad Betty went through that witness relocation program and became Ellie. On TAGS, she's never once been a disappointment.
