Regarding the favorite season of TAGS question, I took this to the boys at the lab and they went to the www.mayberry.com website and carefully studied the results of the "Favorite Episode" poll. Out of all the episodes (28 total) that got at least 100 votes, there were 11 from Season 3; 8 from Season 4 and 4 from Season 1. Seasons 2 and 5 had 2 each and Season 7 had 1.
Then after getting the special at the diner for only 80-cents (I don't know how they do it), the boys at the lab looked at total votes for these 28 episodes. Episodes from Season #3 had a total of 4,077 votes, while those in Season #4 had 3,035. So the boys at the lab have come to the conclusion that Season #3 is the best. A word of warning - if you go around quoting these numbers, someone may accuse you of reading the magazine section of the Sunday paper again. One other thought - The episode "Otis The Deputy" in Season #7 had a very high number of votes (717), while no other episodes in seasons 6-8 even had 100 votes. Could these voters be confusing this episode with "Deputy Otis" from Season #2? This might be a documented case of malfeasance.
